Since 1786, Pickity Place’s quaint little red cottage has graced the hills of southern New Hampshire, seemingly untouched by time. Join us as we travel to Mason, NH for a 5-course meal featuring herbs, vegetables, and spices grown locally in the fertile NH soil. We’ll have a chance to visit the gift shop and garden/greenhouses located on site. This enchanting cottage was chosen by Elizabeth Orton Jones as the model for her illusions in Little Red Riding Hood. Today it is a mecca for gardeners, foodies, and anyone looking for inspiration and relaxation. Lunch is at 11:30am.

DATE: The date selected is Wednesday, March 25, 2026. We will depart the Exeter Community Center parking lot at 10 Hampton Road at 9:15am and will be returning to Exeter between 2:30pm – 3:00pm.

FEE: The Fee is $62.00 for residents and $75..00 for non-residents, which includes admission to Pickity Place (5- course lunch gratuity included) and transportation in the Recreation Department’s van.

REGISTRATION: Registration is open to Exeter residents on Monday, February 23 and non-residents on Monday, March 2, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations are accepted at the Exeter Recreation Office during our business hours, on-line, mail or by phone. (8) Minimum, (12) maximum.

DEADLINE: The deadline to register is Friday March 20, or once the van is sold out. Note: We need a minimum of 8 people registered for this trip. Maximum is 12.
