Local baker and bread making queen, Marie Holt, a resident of Stratham, will be teaching us the art of making a sourdough start kit in the new community center located at 10 Hampton Road in Exeter. We will provide the flour and a whole sourdough starter kit that includes a 9” round banneton bread proofing basket, 10- inch oval bread proofing basket, 24 oz glass starter jar, silicone bread sling, dough whisk, dough cutter, plastic scraper, scoring lame with 4 blades, silicone spatula, silicone basting brush, bread bags, sourdough recipe and silicone bread mat. You take the starter kit home! Note, EPRD does not have an oven, participants will need to bake their sourdough bread at home. Marie will provide fresh baked break for tasting during the class! All students will leave with their starter kit, loaf of bread to bake and established starter of their own.
