Main Street Pen Pals launches in October 2025, connecting volunteers age 50+ with 1st grade students at Main Street School through monthly letter exchanges. Each volunteer will write to a classroom, and the class will respond with a group letter—eight exchanges total from October to May. Letters can be emailed to the Senior Program Coordinator or dropped off at the new Exeter Community Center, with Parks & Recreation handling safe delivery. This program builds connections, supports literacy, reduces isolation, and encourages kindness across generations. Introductory letters are due October 24, 2025.
