USS Constitution & Museum

Located in Charlestown Navy Yard, the USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned warship afloat. After surviving several battles at sea, the ship earned the nickname “old ironsides” over 200 years ago. After undergoing an extensive restoration at dry dock, the USS Constitution is back in the water, ready for visitors to explore the history of this warship. Following our visit to the ship, we’ll have time to browse the exhibits at the USS Constitution Museum. The museum brings the stories of the Constitution and the people associated with her to life. The museum also houses the largest collection of USS Constitution-related objects assembled in one location. The collection includes a wide range of artifacts and records that span the 200+ year history of the USS Constitution.
Note: All persons age 18 and older must present a valid federal or state-issued photo I.D. or passport to board the ship.
