Visit the birthplaces of American liberty and 19th century literature! Board a classic trolley to ride along the historic Battle Road while your costumed guide recounts the exciting events of April 19, 1775, immersing you in the life of 18th and 19th century Americans, from farmers to literary giants to the heroes who would shape a new country. While travelling in our Liberty Ride Trolley, you will see historic sites and attractions in both Lexington and Concord that bring you back to colonial America when the United States began. Some highlights include: The iconic Henry H. Kitson Minute Man Statue and Revolutionary War Monument, The Paul Revere Capture Site, where the British Redcoats dramatically stopped Revere’s ride to Concord, Iconic homes owned by 1800s literary authors such as Louisa May Alcott and Ralph Waldo Emerson, The Old North Bridge in Concord, MA, where the Battle of Concord occurred. 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of the battle of Lexington and Concord. Lunch is not included but participants will be able to explore downtown Lexington and dine at one of the many restaurants at the conclusion of the tour. Participants can also pack a lunch and enjoy it on the Battle Green in downtown Lexington.
